Burress menu for 8/22-8/31

So, yesterday, I posted Grocery Shopping as one of the things I needed to get done, because we're out of things like eggs and chicken and flour (almost). While I was trying to figure out what would be for dinner last night, and Josh sat down to look at our finances, he said "Can we go easy on the grocery budget this paycheck, to make up for going over budget on the vacation?" I agreed... but this is going to be difficult, since we didn't go shopping BEFORE our trip so nothing would go bad while we were gone. I have declared it "Clean Out the Freezer & Pantry Week", to avoid going shopping and to discover what treasures I have buried and not used in both places. I tend to go through staples and ingredients quickly, while I have a bunch of prepared foods/box dinners/canned goods piling up. While I'm not as excited about eating these all week, they really shouldn't just sit there...
  • Wednesday (yesterday): Chicken nuggets, rolls, & green beans
  • Thursday: eating at a friend's place
  • Friday: Fish fillets & corn
  • Saturday: Fetticune alfredo
  • Sunday: Italian sausage soup & garlic bread?
  • Monday: Frozen pizza & garlic bread
  • Tuesday: Refried bean casserole
  • Wednesday: Spaghetti
  • Thursday: Brats & corn (grilled?)
  • Friday: Pancakes & Bacon
And, I made that list, and still didn't use up many hamburger-helper-type stuff. Oh well.

the stuff Jes needs to accomplish today

stuff i didn't get done yesterday (or the day before or the day before)
  1. fold clothes
  2. is there a way to organize my stuff?

Stuf new today

  1. dishes
  2. laundry
  3. supper
  4. put water in the fish tank so it will be quieter
  5. make a list of stuff for camping
  6. run I'm so proud of myself (yes i know pride comes before a fall...) I started running about a week ago, after not running for about 2 years. and even when i did run i never could run far or fast. Well, I managed to run a mile a couple days ago, but i had to break it up to walk up the big hill on our road. This morning I ran almost all the way up. (i walked about 5 ft of it) Maybe tomorrow I'll conquer it. I'll feel like Rocky if I do. I might even make Eugene play the music as I walk in the door. I can hear it now....

FUN STUFF:

  1. put books on http://www.paperbackswap.com/
  2. finish assignments for payu2blog
  3. write what i believe blogs
  4. watch beth, benjamin and oliva on the video
  5. rip cd's on computer

Joanna I need your help

so I signed up for payu2blog and I already have 9 assignments. I've completed two, and am working on my 3rd, but the problem is I'm getting things I don't agree with- like payday loans and muscle milk.... How do you use those without making people thing you think they are acceptable? The muscle milk one was kinda fun and I joked about my husband needing it, but in real life we'd NEVER try to get people to use those things... And Payday loans are a big trap and I would hate for anyone to get into that cycle. Do you have any helpful hints? you can email me or IM me if you have that option... email is mccurdygirl@yahoo.com and IM is babyyellowpetal thanks!

The second potluck, I will have no way to keep things warm because it is outside. Also, neither event's dish is expected to feed everyone, just enough to share with some/most. And, there's always plenty of deviled eggs, so I've ruled out that option.
